1.1 Computer-Supported Cooperative Work

CSCW (Computer-Supported Cooperative Work) refers to the field of study, which examines how people work together using computer technology. CSCW deals with many interdisciplinary factors like computer science, telecommunication, sociology, psychology and economy [13]. The actual applications that support the collaborative working of users are usually described by the term Groupware [1]. These types of products include software as well as hardware solutions. The design of such applications requires consideration of many aspects. There are many types of groupware systems, which vary depending on their field of application.
